NPR Tells Mara Liasson to Halt Fox News Appearances

Taxpayer-funded NPR has asked Mara Liasson to “reconsider” her Fox News appearances.  Will Juan Williams be next?

From Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit:

Taxpayer-funded NPR wants its top political correspondent Mara Liasson to stay off FOX News.
Greta Wire reported:

Executives at National Public Radio recently asked the network’s top political correspondent, Mara Liasson, to reconsider her regular appearances on Fox News because of what they perceived as the network’s political bias, two sources familiar with the effort said.

According to a source, Liasson was summoned in early October by NPR’s executive editor for news, Dick Meyer, and the network’s supervising senior Washington editor, Ron Elving. The NPR executives said they had concerns that Fox’s programming had grown more partisan, and they asked Liasson to spend 30 days watching the network.

How laughable is that!?! NPR ‘perceives’ FOX is biased? I wonder if NPR asked Ms. Liasson to limit her appearances on CNN, MSNBC, etc., where the bias is readily evident? My guess is they didn’t as those lean the same way NPR does. Every American should be very concerned, at the very least, the rampant censorship taking place in the media. And, their propensity to direct their viewers down a particular path of thought. Obama and his administration must be loving this developement.
I do not give money anymore to Public Television because they are, indeed, highly biased towards the left. I am sure Ms. Liasson doesn’t need 30 days to look at their programing, or listen to NPR to know of their bias. She just need only look at her bosses, Meyer and Elving! If Ms. Liasson has any scruples she will protest this obvious miscarriage of journalism.
